They're probably better off in those pods for now. Being shot down here from the space station kind of sucked.

If by that crass phrase you mean that our journey here was rather pestiferous, then I do feel obliged to agree.

Would they not be equipped to handle such a journey? You seem to have survived, such as it is.

Yeah, they're young. [ Maybe. I have no idea if he's the oldest of ten. ] I don't think they'd be able to handle being hurtled through space without a diaper.

Quite young indeed! As loath as I am to say it, perhaps it is more advantageous to them to remain as they are for the time being. I daresay it is far more dangerous here than it is trapped in that unnatural slumber, after all, though I cannot be certain.

[ Her empathy for JJ is real... if she had younger siblings, she'd be worried sick for them. ]

I do hope your siblings remain well.

I do hope that day comes for you sooner than it may seem at the moment, though I would prefer my brother to awaken as soon as possible. He is many years older than I, you see, and his strength is near unmatched...

In fact, I wish for all of my comrades to awaken, but perhaps that is my own selfish desire to see them again.

I miss my friends too.

[ It's lonely and jarring to realize that no one is awake who cares about them.

I don't think it's selfish though. Obviously if you love someone you want to share your life with them. And you want to be there when they might face something difficult.

That is very true.

I suppose I should be grateful that I will be able to assist them when they do awaken. This... situation is very much different than the one we are accustomed to, you see, and I would just as lief be here to guide them.
