Not often. We weren't very close, even when he was alive.

I was never very good at gardening. We ended up with many weeds around our house since we couldn't afford a gardener.

But I can teach you how to cook instead.

My father was too busy [ and too poor ] to hire any maids, so I ended up doing the chores whether I wanted to or not.

I'm sure your parents must have loved you very much though, to be willing to send you to so many skating lessons.

My housemate is here as well, but she's also sick. It's for the best that we're together, that way I'm not getting anyone else sick.
