He did. He dragged me all over the world to practically every continent, until political unrest had him launching me in a rocket to Mars. At least this time, landing on a new planet wasn't a crash landing.
Humans haven't colonized the planet for very long, but it's livable. Outside of those who hold power and the royal family, the population is rather poor. It's cold and not much can really be grown on the planet.
Because I was born on Earth, I was discriminated against by those living on Mars. The only reason I was able to live on the planet was because of the influence my father's research had and the generosity of the Martian princess. Once he had passed the powers that be saw me as a nuisance to get rid of.

Objectively it wasn't a very nice place to live, but there was someone I care about very much who I had the chance to see and be with.
After my father died I was eventually forced to live on a space station and in turn leave her side.

oh
why'd you have to leave?

For the first time in my life I have the freedom to make my own choices.
You don't have to apologize, you didn't do anything wrong.
no subject
what are you going to do?
with all that freedom

I need to have a stable enough foundation in place so when the person most important to me wakes up, I'll be able to take care of them.
